Prestige.

"You might try an F-spaced D Activator bridge model (DP220F) in the

bridge position and an F-spaced Evolution neck model (DP158F0 in the

neck position. If you want to replace the middle pickup, a

reverse-polarity Red Velvet (DP174S) might be good. I have attached

wiring diagrams for either option."

.. what say you guys about this?

How does the D Activator compare to the D Activator X?

Gear: Basswood body/bolt-on neck/tremelo/rosewood fretboard

and Mesa Mark III

Will this get me crunchy low end and screaming high end?

I was gonna say that a D-Activator might be what you're looking for since you seem to be gunning for the lots of clarity, lots of cut, lots of power approach. I've played a few guits with the D-Activators and they sound pretty killer.

I have no idea how the evo would sound in the neck though? lol

but the DActivator seems like a good bet,

apparently the Dactivator-x has more output and less clarity.. so no-no

I don't know... I have an Evo neck pickup in the bridge of my Peavey Firenza (also basswood) and it's a pretty cool sounding pup...

You can hear it

or
. Of course it's in the bridge, but it is the neck model and you can get an idea of its output and clarity etc.

The D-Activator is what I will have in my Ibby S series guitar, I think they sounds great personally... I will be putting JB's in the neck though! :D

In my RG I'm putting a WB Custom pup and again, a JB in the neck... very nice. I'm easy going about the set up too. EMG-PA2 after the pups, don't need to split them ever, just need them to sound ballsy...

now where to find them to buy online... ???

I normally get everything from my local music store or Sweetwater, but the place to buy DiMarzios is American Musical Supply. They seem to have most every model and usually have most color choices in stock.
