I have this old Precision Electronics PA head I've converted to guitar use that really kicks ass. The power switch finally quit. I have it on the bench, caps drained, switch out. I've been using the switch on my power strip to turn it and my pedal board on & off. Considering bypassing the switch in the amp & just hardwiring it. Never had a standby. Opinions?

I decided, as long as this thing's on the bench to complete the conversion. New cab, standby, move inputs to the front, new faceplate & who knows what else. I already got it re-capped & have fresh tubes in it. And I have an SS amp I can gig with. Phuck it do it right.
