Members Belva
I have this old Precision Electronics PA head I've converted to guitar use that really kicks ass. The power switch finally quit. I have it on the bench, caps drained, switch out. I've been using the switch on my power strip to turn it and my pedal board on & off. Considering bypassing the switch in the amp & just hardwiring it. Never had a standby. Opinions?
Members mbarn3065
What type of switch does it have? (slide switch, rocker switch, toggle switch, etc...)

Members Belva
I decided, as long as this thing's on the bench to complete the conversion. New cab, standby, move inputs to the front, new faceplate & who knows what else. I already got it re-capped & have fresh tubes in it. And I have an SS amp I can gig with. Phuck it do it right. Members cmercein8
I would invest in a kick ass pedal board, and then derive most of your tones from pedals. I've done this before with super clean amps and you can get some pretty awesome sounds from different pedal combos.
Members Belva
Already use some pedals. Just to color what I have. At 35 watts, this head is perfect for the gigs I do. I use 'verb, chorus, OD1 & sometimes a compressor.
