The ignition control labels the spark wire as sense/spark, but only a spark is present. From reading up on Honeywell's site, it looks like this would be called a single rod type ignition...On newer ignition controls, theres actually a jumper cable you use when no sensing rod is present (as in a single rod installation).I'm wondering what would happen if I just replace that ignition control...Although the gas valve could be the culprit, too.Sorry this is such an off topic thread, but I've learned more here than I even thought I would. Looks like I'm out some money either way, but if I can fix this myself it looks pretty simple, whether its the valve or ignition control. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
