Members eor Posted October 16, 2009 Members Share Posted October 16, 2009 though i don't think it was the intention, the sm7b has kinda become a go to rock mic. slayer, metallica, aic, pearl jam, incubus and a {censored} ton others. michael jackson tracked most of thriller with one, too. it's a pretty good "if you could only have one mic for vocals" mic, as it works pretty well for other vocal styles, too. the sm7b + sm 81 was the singer/songwriter combo back in the day; probably still is. not bad on bass cabs and kick drums, either. love,eor Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
