Members mparsons
Hey everyone, Got a nice bit of Christmas money, and I've been considering getting a decent-ish camera for gear/guitar pics, rehearsal shots, live pics. Recording video is a must, and the higher quality video the better. Honestly, taking video is more important than still shots, as I want to be able to record guitar videos for youtube as well as studio videos and have decent live videos of my/others bands. Any recommendations in the $200-300 range? Thanks!
Members guitarbilly74
I'm interested as well since my camera crapped out on me and my phone's camera is a POS.
Members mooktank
I've been looking at the Flip HD cams but it looks like you couldn't hook it to the computer and just capture straight to disk while recording some audio tracks. You'd need to sync them later (which isn't a huge deal).

Members nakedzen
The Kodak Zi8 has an external mic input that you can hook up to your recording interfaces headphone out. Seems to be getting pretty good reviews as well.
