Members bluesbox101
I just bought an HDW audio tube condenser mic and was going to run it into my firepod. but before I do i was thinking i needed some sort of preamp to put in front of the interface. im thinking about the ART pro MPA.. any thoughts? would it be better to buy a preamp first or a compressor? Members pezguy
The Presonus Firepod has 8 built in preamps does it not? I'm not sure the ART Pro MPA will be much of a step up from the pres already built in to the firepod. If you are on a budget look at the the Really Nice Preamp and Really Nice Compressor from FMR Audio. They provide the best bang for buck ratio if you are on a budget. If it were me, I would buy the compressor first...
Members Tommy Horrible
If it's a condensor your going to need +48 phantom power. That's all I got. Which I see it has after a quick google search.
