Members Pepi
I've replace a good many transistors in that model of Mesa. The Transistor is only around 12 bucks but the {censored}ing Flux-Capacitors they take out with it are 4 to 5 hundred bucks

Members swampman
it was deleted just now, but i caught thius before. "I have a Mesa Lonestar 1X12 Combo Amp in mint condition except that it needs a new transistor. The Amp is in excellent shape no dings, scratches or any marks on it. I spoke to people at Mesa and they told me to take it to a Mesa certified technichian and I did at Hendrixs Electronics in Kissimmee. The Technician inspected it and said that it would cost about 250.00 to replace the transistor. Well because I'm leaving to the army I'm not trying to spend that much to fix it but I am drastically reducing the asking price. This amp used sells at about 1,100 to 1,200 with everything working I'm asking 600.00. The amp would cost you 850.00 in total so you would be getting a good deal over all. If interested my number is (407) 375-6216 call me anytime and sorry i don't have pics but I don't have a digital camera it's blue and you can see it on the mesa website or e-bay. With that said here is what the amp comes with:"
Members cap'n'crunch
Sounds like a lot of money to replace a $0.20 transistor.
Members Dr Wanker
If that's all that's wrong. Many times transistors go in groups.
