Looks pretty well constructed and braced. If it has the speaks you want, I say go for it.

 

Wood is wood far as I'm concerned...pine, birch, cedar...yeah they'll have a different sound or resonance effect, but if I'm too picky about wood choices affecting my guitar tone, I'm probably not playing guitar enough. Just my .02

 

Let us know how it sounds!

Looks like constuction plywood. IMO, The plywood type used on a cab (with the exception of maybe MDF or chipboard) is the most insignificant factor on tone actually. The construction method and the dimensions, open/closed/ported, and of course the speaker type are all way more significant.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm more concerned with just the general quality. Its a custom build so never know. I agree though, it looks good!

 

Only $200 bucks, I would want to put in some WGS Retro or Veterans and sell the Celestion Seventy 80's.

 

Ehhh.... why am I buying stuff I don't need? Damn GAS
