Members mcr23
Zach, I am trying to learn more about the operation of amps. There are two options I came across: 1) two books :one on preamps and another on poweramps: http://www.amazon.com/Vacuum-Tube-Circuit-Design-Amplifier/dp/0976982269/ref=lh_ni_t_ http://www.amazon.com/Vacuum-Tube-Circuit-Design-Amplifier/dp/0976982242/ref=pd_bxgy_b_img_b 2) or starting with this preamp-only book that I've seen a few good review on http://www.amazon.com/Designing-Tube-Preamps-Guitar-Bass/dp/0956154506/ref=pd_bxgy_b_img_c Thoughts? Members knucklefux
i own the kuehnel books, and they're very good. pretty heavy on the math, and you need to have some understanding of how tubes work in order to tie it all together well, but very informative. i'm sure the blencowe book is very good as well, based on all the info he gives away on his website. Anything you think that would be a bridge book between my current level of understanding (Turnz your mapz ups to 11 to get the toans ) and there?

Members ruppert240
i vote merlin's book. it can get a little deep but it's easily manageable and you'll learn a lot of useful things.
