Members Cheifj13
I am a big fan of nylon strings but not classical guitars so i recently put some nylons on one of the guitars i never play anymore. I`m getting alot of slap and buzz but i didn`t want to touch the truss rod without asking a few questions first. what kind of mods would be best for this conversion. keep in mind that this is an `i don`t give a crap` guitar so i`ll be doing it all my self. Members STFU NOOB!
the top on most steel string guitars will be braced so heavily that the nylon strings might have a problem exciting the top. meaning the sound you get, even after you tweak it will most likely be quiet and dull/lifeless. Moderators isaac42 Posted May 30, 2007 Moderators Share Posted May 30, 2007 Ibeanez makes a nylon string guitar with a narrow nut FWIW I bought an Alvarez 'classical' guitar. It has nylon strings, and a classical-style open headstock, but a narrow neck and an arched fretboard.
