Sounds like mush even when not competing with another guitar.Ive heard some of the later redesigned ones that sounded better though. I actually thought that the older ones were better? I could be wrong but I gave the 300 watter a good try as well as the later 120 & from what I could tell, they didnt have as much tendency to mush out.. They are not reliable. They are finicky buzzy {censored} amps and way to heavy. I had one, it {censored} the bed and regardless of retube, it had issues all the time. good luck.
