Members troyri
Anyone try the direct out to the board yet? What do you think?
Members Sordid1
I've ran it into my 8 track and it sounds good. One of my buddies that has the ht20 combo plays out a couple times a week and only used the emulated out and said it's the best live sound he's ever had. This guy has been playing 40 years (damn good player) and has had just about every great amp made so I put some stock into what he says.
Members Mahuska
I have the H-5 and yes the emulated out sounds great. Gives my Damage Control "Demonizer" arun for it's money in that department

Members bdubbs
I've have it run from my ht-100. Sounds great live, much better than the Dual Rec line out (Other amp we used to use).
Members troyri
So do I just use an instrument cable straight to the board? I tried using a adapter and using a XLR cable but the signal was so hot it was peaking the board with the gain on the board turned all the way down. Members Razsan
I use a short instrument cable (less than 12') and go into a direct box, sounds absolutely wonderful. I've been playing it at Church for the past 4 months and have had no problems. BTW - this is with using the gain channel almost exclusively. Members Razsan
If you have the head, remember to give it a speaker load. For whatever reason, although the speaker doesn't work when using the direct out, Blackstar recommends having one connected.
