Members MattACaster
I know Tube Screamers have a decent mid spike to them but are there any OD that have a bigger spike to them or even an adjustable midrange control? Looking for something for solo boosts.
Members t-rey
Way Huge Green Rhino? It's a TS type pedal with a mid control.
Members jimSG
Look into the Way Huge Pork Loin. There isn't a direct "mid boost" but you have a lot of tone shaping options to get you there.

Members Ovid9
Dunno how many knobs and options you like on a pedal, but this thing has looked intriguing to me ever since I saw it on their site. No mid knob, but various other controls.

No mid knob, but various other controls. Don't mind knobs. It will get tweaked until I find something I like, then it will sit in a rack and I will probably never tweak it again. Members MattACaster
Can't argue with what works right? Bingo. Going to get my gig rack put together next week with the G-System and everything. Going to use the HT-Dual for my crunch tones but I'm looking for something to boost for solos. Was thinking either an OD with a wicked mid boost or my FJAMods SD-1 with maybe a MXR 10 band EQ with the mids pushed up a bit.
Members tech21man
MXR 10 band EQ in the loop./Thread. This. Drive 0, level full on tube screamers? Buy an eq pedal directly. An eq pedal up front and one in the loop can transform an amp totallly. But try to switch them live. It doesn't work! 4CM effects board would though. Members thenakedarab
An original SansAmp, or a SansAmp Classic. Huge output, two mid-boosts, and a broader range of tones than most any OD/Distortion you will find. It's not a metal pedal, but has a good amount of gain, and very amp like response.
