I think it's pretty funny that everyone here is bashing it, but everyone over at sevenstring loves it...

Herd mentality?

Bulb could fart in a bag, auction it off at sevenstring.org, and become an instant millionaire. I personally like bulb, good guy and great player, but those guys are like creepy obsessed with him...

and that guitar looks like {censored}.

Haha surely it's the other way round, we are the ones not licking the arse of a semi famous musician but they are. What a stupid thing to say. Honestly it looks well made but meh pointy edges just remind me of kids with eyeliner playing in their bedrooms.

Like someone has said that forum is one whole "Oh {censored} i gotta be metal as {censored} like everyone else and like all the same {censored}" type of forum. This forum is more diverse than SS.org and that is saying something! Bulb could start posing for gay porno stills and those kids would change their sexual orientation in a flash :thu:

Who is Bulb? I don't remember his relevance... Did he do a FF7 cover? The guitar is a waste of pretty wood

he does meshuggah/karnivool remixes and internet marketing

would make sense to make the first 2 frets stainless because thats where all the wear is going to be....

Looks ok. Couple aesthetic things I don't like. I think the finish is what gives it the Woodshop feel. looks like just a few coats of a Tung oil or similar. I know he mentioned he liked the understated look of the top or finish, but who us he kidding when he mentions anything understated about this. A nice finish properly buffed out would have looked killer.. Also that bridge pickup would be right where I pick on the low strings. That position i imagine would make the low strings a bit more tubby sounding. And was a multi-scale of 25.5-24.75 really necessary? I definitely would rather it not be this fanned fret b.s. But if it suits his pleasure, then good for him.

I had the exact same thought regarding the input jack cutout. That doesn't look a little "off" to you?

If you guys think that looks like a highschool shop project then I can guarantee you have no experience with woodworking. The workmanship and finish on that thing is nothing short of very impressive. The shape is ugly as hell, yes, but the quality is easy to see. And no, the jack cutout doesn't look bad at all. You might not like it because it's not rounded in any way, but the cut was obviously made with precision and in the way the luthier intended.
