Members Marc G
TA15 sounded better to my ears.... clearer tone... but I might be biased because I have a TA30..
Members Steve@Russo
I actually liked the TA-15 better myself
Members Ron Burgandy
they're way more similar than I would have thought. Cool video, but definitely helped me realize I don't need the Mini Recto.
Members C-Dawg
Wow, I thought the TA-15 sounded way better. The recto sounded too stuffy.
Members Steve@Russo
one thing I will say about these demos is I tend to spend more time on the product I am less familiar with, in this case it was the TA-15 so in the end I ended up MORE familiar with it, even after being at the factory and talking with Randal about MR. Both have their places but I would have to say the TA-15 really did shine as more versatile
Members shredhead7
I'm listening to my laptop speakers at work, so I couldn't crank it. Having said that, I noticed very little difference between the two TA channels. The Mini Rec modern channel sounded alright, but not as good as the TA and vintage channel sounded very similar to the TA (like it's the same circuit). Based on those clips, I would buy the TA. Does it have a loop?
Members Steve@Russo
the TA does NOT have a loop. I wish I had a guitar with higher gain PUPS as I think the mini would have sounded a bit tighter in the low end

Members AdInfinitum
The two TA channels can sound very different depending on settings. I use the Top Boost setting on Channel A for a Voxy/U2 edge of break-up and Channle B on H2 for a Marshall crunch. I'll probably end up getting the TA-30 for the loop, although I prefer the lower wattage of the 15.
Members Marc G
the TA30 has the ability to go down to 15 watts, ti just uses 2 of the 4 EL84s. Along with an FX it also has a really nice spring reverb built in... I am REALLY happy with mine
Members AdInfinitum
I'd "spring" for the TA-30 if it wasn't so damn overpriced. If I could find a used one for a reasonable amount, I'd then sell my TA-15.
