Members PigWings_v2.0
I don't have the original footswitch for my Mark IV. But I found this for cheap on craigslist. Will this work with my Mark IV? Does it matter that my amp has 3 channels and this only has 1 switch? All I want is to switch between the clean and lead channel. Forget about rythm2. I've never used any other footswitches besides the orignal Mark IV pedal and I don't want to spend $200-$300 for a new one.
Members MattACaster
No clue. Some Mesa switches do weird things to their amps. I have that exact foot switch and i doesn't work with my Triple Recto and, for some reason, takes the gain on the red channel of my Single Recto down by half. I would check with Mesa if you don't have any way of testing it with your amp first.
Members Sixtonoize
No...the Mark IV uses 3 momentary switches to control the channels. That switch has one latching switch. The two are incompatible. You absolutely need 3 separate momentary switches to do anything useful with the channels on a Mark IV.
Members PigWings_v2.0
So does that mean I need 3 of those or do I just have to buy another FU-3 from Mesa?
