Members BartDude
Hey guys, If I want to add a volume pot to pedals that usually suffer from volume drop (like chorus, phaser, tremolo, etc), is it possible? Is it complicated? What are the components to get? Any link or advise on how to do it is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Members theboywho
To add a pot to turn the volume up, yes it will be complicated as it will require an active circuit in there to push more volume out. What might be better would be to put a boost in front of the pedal so that it pushes more into it when switched on, possibly run through a loop. Members mrbrown49
How are you running these pedals, out in front or through an effects loop? I find that some effects loops just don't take pedals well, and cause a drop in volume like you describe. If this bothers you, and you are using an effects loop, running them out front may help your volume loss issues. Other than that, a nice boost can help, and run before the preamp, can really add some life to any setup. A boost is a cool effect in its own right, especially if you can dial in more high frequencies.
