I am all about the GAIN, my current amp being a modded Ultra with bone crushing gain, XXX is more in that vein eh? Does Legacy need a boost to go "over the top"? I associate 80's metal tones with the modded Marshall sound. High-mid emphasis and lots sizzle. The Legacy is all low-mids and too smooth for even 80's metal IME.
