Members grunge782
Tried out the 40 with 34's at guitar center. I was pretty impressed at the range of tones and volumes for the price, you could get some really nice crunch tones from the poweramp with this thing. For guys looking for more of that British powertube sizzle at more manageble volumes this is a real nice amp. It doesn't sound weak or tinny like a lot of smaller amps do with a "british" setting/style. I'll definitely be checking this out again next visit. Members DeadNight Warrior
I've heard they're great little amps, and sound great with their cabs with Neodymium speakers. Haven't had a chance to try one myself though. Have "helped" carry one of the cabs off a stage though. Didn't know they used the Neodymium speakers in 'em, so was expecting to actually be helping the guy lift it. Nearly fell flat on my arse when I picked it up. There was much laughter. Members tech21man
Check out the 4x12: about 40-45 lbs? It is insane...lightweight poplar and neodymium speakers. And ola englund has done a lot of great videos seems to sound fantastic. Also the guy from meshuggah got it as well. The whole company seems to focus there. Even their 120watt KT88 amp is 20 lbs... Members ke2
I believe it's the same guy that makes MarkBass bass amps. They're also very lightweight and sound great
Members grunge782
Yep it is the MarkBass guys. These amps I really think should get a little more notice, they definitely fit the bill for what a lot of guys are asking for; both sound and feature wise. Using the power options with a 40 watt amp can deliver a bit more oomph than some of the
Members Wookieslayer
I played the Triple 6 thru the matching slant cab. sounded really big and nice clear mids. would love to buy their 412 cab sometime soon!
Members tech21man
The new triple 6 will replace the bad boy? It will include both "modes" of circuit for one amp, so you get hard rock and metal mayhem in a super light KT 88 package. Stuff like that made wonder why the mark IV or the 5150 combo weigh so damn much. Rivera too...
