Members kwakatak
I caught the tail-end of part 2 of Pennsylvania Cable Network's 2003 tour of the Martin Guitar factory this morning. It's a pretty cool tour where they basically walk you through the entire fabrication process. You get to see various D-28, HD-28, 000-28EC, D-15 and even a DM in various stages. The highlight was seeing the Millionth Martin (model D-100) in the beginning stages of its abalone inlay work. At that point, only about 90% of the rosette work was complete. The back was pristine and IMO they should have kept it that way because the grain was beautiful. I was kind of upset that I cought only the tail-end ofit, but after searching for the PCN website I see that they sell it online in VHS or DVD! https://web33.web.ptd.net/cgi-bin/pcntv.com/pcn_store.cgi?cart_id=7831079_24424&action=view_pcn_tour&profile=
Members ES335guy
I love watching the PCN tours. I just caught the end of the Martin tour the other day too. The Harley Davidson one is quality as well.
