Members roryfan Posted September 29, 2005 Members Posted September 29, 2005 Any idea whether this could be used as a preamp for a piezo-type pickup? http://www.redcircuits.com/Page96.htm
Members rockfan Posted September 29, 2005 Members Posted September 29, 2005 If you are going to use it as the comments sections states is its intention, then go for it.If not, cough up some money and buy something like it on eBay.Hey, if you want to play, you gotta pay!
Members guit30 Posted September 29, 2005 Members Posted September 29, 2005 If you want something good that is cheap, get the new Behringer preamp pedal, It costs 19.99, solid made and works well, got mine on line at BP audio and video(or BH), do a google search for Behringer PB100 preamp and many ads will come up for it and picsJim

If $$$ is tight, check out the Behringer ADI 21...it has almost the same features as my PADI, but at 1/5 the price! (street price = about $30)...only downside is the plastic casing (so treat it gently) and it won't use phantom power (from board), but other than that, it's a fantastic value and it'll make your piezo-equipted guitar sound great And it's likely not much more expensive than the parts for the project above! Good review in this month's Acoustic Guitar magazine.
