  1. I guess we should put Doyle Dykes in here
  2. Is there a website where these pics are ? Jim
  3. I knew a gal who gigged locally with a 66 Goya, that I had never heard of, she was real hi on it, one thing that i know, the gal had a great ear for music, sounded great ampliphied Jim
  4. They do come stock with light gauge Polywebs which are sort of whiter in appearance and have a thicker gortex coating, I like them, most folk hate them, haven't tried the nanowebs Jim
  5. wipe down your frets with dishwater each day, and tune up your guitar to 550 before storage
  6. This Guitar got a rave review in the latest acoustic guitarist mag , plus a Gold award for best value acoustic under $500 Jim
  7. Does anyone here own a Breedlove AC/200 or other Atlas series guitar. there is one for sale, used at my local music store for 259.99. It is in between 000 and 00 size, really sweet tone and nice lookin solid spruce top with one bearclaw. This is where I have my Alvarez for sale, if I really liked it , I could do a trade Jim
  8. That was really neat, really a lot of us like similar music, Doc Watson, Bryan Sutton, Chet Atkins , Norman Blake,GREAT LIST!!!
  9. Did not take me long, I review a lot of Nashville acoustic country and Bluegrass music and have heard a lot of his playing. I think he is at his best on Kelly Willis's "Easy" Here is his arsenal: http://www.bryansutton.com/brs_instruments.cfm
  10. - If You like bearclaws in your finish, get a Taylor 110 ,210 or 214, you have to check thru them carefully to find a guitar without bearclaws. I thik they are ugly. Larrivee has a model called a Bearclaw finish, not as noticable when covered by a nice glossy finish. The Blueridge BR-160 that I recently played had a nice tight grain and the aging toner was neat, but the tone and playablity blew away lo end Taylors and Martins. Jim
  11. -Really, come on now, Martin needs money, so he sell more jacked because they made in USA guitars, So he can buy some more clc machines to cut spruce wood. You really should check the unofficial Blueridge board(there is one) to hear about the complaints of toner color, string spacing and the guitars they really play (Martins)
