Members KATMAN
What does this mean when you are looking up a guitar and the specs say, Solid cedar or spruce top,NATO back & sides? Does this mean that it isn't known what wood it is,or a syncethic material, laminated,or other? I always thought wood was wood, except laminated or plywood. I'm pretty ignorant here when it comes to that term.

Members Cldplytkmn
not sure why the search wouldn't show anything up, there was a thread here within the last few months with more details... but its a kind of wood... very soft, so i think the consensus is that its usually used as a laminate... looks a bit like porous mahogany.
