The Taylor and Martin "hybrid" nylon strings are also 1-7/8. But I'm not sure about any other steel strings.... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Members min7b5 Posted September 19, 2006 Members Share Posted September 19, 2006 You can order a Taylor with a 1 7/8 for no extra charge, but there is a fee to change the string spacing from 2 2/8 to 2 and 3/8. If you don't change things at the bridge as well you'll really only notice the difference in the left hand, and only in the first few positions.
