Members kwakatak Posted May 30, 2007 Members Posted May 30, 2007 I just wanted to share another recording that I did last night when I should have been sleeping. The full title of this song is "Serenade for Guitar (To Andres Segovia)" and the tab for it is in issue no. 63 of Fingerstyle Guitar Magazine. It was the monthly feature in Rick Foster's "Sacred Guitar" column. I took a little liberty with the arrangement and the dynamics. My technique and the recording quality could be better though. http://media.putfile.com/Serenade4Guitar-take1 Guitar; Larrivee OM-03RStrings: Elixir Nanoweb (Phosphor Bronze, light gauge)Tuning: standard, no capo
Members Jon Chappell Posted May 30, 2007 Members Posted May 30, 2007 A lovely piece, and you play it well. I like the bridge -- where it goes to that Am, Em, Am, E+ progression. Very lyrical. Rick Foster is a great composer and arranger. I first heard of him when I checked out the "Parkening Plays Bach" album, where he contributes a couple of transcriptions. Thanks for recording and submitting this.
