Lay it back, with a reasonably large loop, onto the mic boom and take a couple of loose wraps, then to the vertical shaft and a couple more loose wraps, or use cable to boom and stand clips. Not only will it relieve the stress of that sharp bend on the mic, it will alleviate the possibility of someone tripping on the mic cable and pulling the mic over, instead the cable will take the strain toward the bottom of the mic stand.
