Members Stackabones
Notice his fifth string is different! It's an A, but tuned up an octave. He also uses drop-D. So his tuning is E a D g b e'. He explains it in -- which also has the "paper technique" that Martin Taylor used in a vid that someone posted here a while back. That Godin sounds great. GAS. In that part 2, he uses a Whammy Pedal and the paper to get a talking drum sound!!! I think I first heard of him through Pascal, or perhaps Phlat Phive. But I think this vid is new. EDIT: I think it was ?
Members OldGuitarPlayer
Wow! Sooo..GAS now stands for "Godin Aquisition Syndrome"? I am now off to check more about this guy! Thanks Stack!!!
Members goodcat
Strangely compelling. I like it. It's like nothing I've ever seen / heard before.
Members Stackabones
Just finished watching the vid at amazon for his new release, Karibu. Wayne Shorter says that LL is a singer, with or without an instrument. Herbie Hancock says compares him to Jaco. Serious accolades from two super serious dudes. Members simplygoodmusic
I read an article about him in an Italian magazine a while ago, and never got around to checking him out, though I was fascinated. Awesome stuff. Cheers for the Post up.

Members Pascal
I think I first heard of him through Pascal, or perhaps Phlat Phive. But I think this vid is new. EDIT: I think it was Gilfema? I remember posting this one, indeed. Or maybe you also saw this other video with singer Sofia Koutsovitis, with a very cool solo (starts at about 2min 20s): I have to say I haven't really explored his records yet. Only his videos/website... His rhythmic and melodic skills and his afro-pop-jazz remind me a lot of Richard Bona. I dig.
