Members kwakatak
I was just looking over some of the classified items at the UMGF and I'm wondering what some of these people are thinking? a 90s-era D-1R for $700a used D-16GT for $800a nearly-new 000-16SGT for $1400 Do these prices seem kinda high to you, or is there some sort of price increase trend happening in the used Martin market? On the bright side, there was a newish looking D-28 for $1450

Members gitnoob
You're looking in the wrong place. Those guys know they have an audience of Martin lovers. They also tend to upgrade their gits and they think their upgrades add value (somebody is trying to sell a used 000-15S there for $1100, while they're going for $700-800 on eBay). For good deals, go to the forums where people have switched from Martin to some other brand. I've seen good deals at the Larrivee forum, Blueridge forum, and Taylor forum (AGF). There are a couple of Stanfords on the market for $500. You sure you want a Martiin.
