I compared it to a Masterbilt (AJ-500M) they also have and I prefered the Texan; the neck on the Masterbilt was a little nicer (mostly because of the satin finish), but the Texan sounded better. Very reasonably priced, great electronics, they look super cool too.Maybe the missus will let me put a deposit down on one next payday... I have read a couple of bad reviews about the quality of the pickup sound. Other than that it is a really nice guitar. I have tried one out at the local shop and it has been sitting there for a almost 2 years now at $485. I don't know why someone doesn't buy it.
