Members Cougar Hunter
I thought Dimarzio made them. They said the closest models are the Tone Zone and the Air Norton.
Members dewees
The web site says Dimarzio makes the humbuckers. I don't know why I thought Duncan made the MM90s - But the web site doesn't say abut those ones.
Members swinglinecub
From what I remember (vaguely...) the bridge was a Super Distortion, I'm not sure about anything else because the two months I wanted one I was into some really {censored}ty music and have been trying to block them out since. The Axis pups are a good balance for what I play.

I don't know how true it is, but I read somewhere that on the Wolfgangs, the neck pickup is actually hotter than the bridge pickup and when you swap the two, it sounds a bit more like an Axis. I've always heard that Dimarzio Tone Zone/Air Norton combo was about as close as any production pickup to the stock Axis humbuckers.
Members Armitage
I keep hearing that the Axis pickups are similar to the Dimarzio Tone Zone... but my Dimarzio Tone Zone equipt Soloist doesn't some anything like my Axis. The Dimarzio Tone Zone has way more bottom and less chimy top end. IMHO of course P.S. I just wanted to add that DiMazio even claims they're similar... I don't get it. If that's the case, try a Norton in the bridge with the Air Norton Neck.
