Members xStonr
Does anyone here have any experience with any of these pickups? How do they sound? I have a chance to pick up a set of either for a really good price and was wondering what the difference was btwn the two.

Members playdabluze
Don't know about the 69s. I have a set of Fat 50s in my Strat. They are excellent for the vintage Strat tones, especially in the bridge, bridge/middle & middle/neck positions. They also sound great when slightly-to-moderately overdriven. I have a set of 69's in my strat. They are good for vintage tones and they do sound great when overdriven. These pickups are very clear and can be used for just about everything. The thing I noticed about them were that they pretty much kept the same treble and mids and just added bass throughout the positions (well of course with a little character change). I swear after my pickups were changed, red house and little wing never sounded so good.
Members vintage clubber
Fat '50's for me out of those two, but I'm very picky about having a RW/RP middle pickup and the CS 69 set doesn't have an RW/RP middle pickup...
Members I'm A Coal Man
I know we spend waaaay too much time rummaging around here but the "reviews" section back at the main Harmony Central has bunches of reviews on pickups and equipment that I have found very helpful on many occasions. Members xStonr
I did do some reading in the review section, but I was more curious with what some of the forum regulars would have to say as I am more familiar with the people here and would respect their opionions.
