Members XeroStar33
If you're going to play strictly with headphones, the V-Amp2 is an awesome choice.
Members IdaCrue
I got my G-DEC on Labor Day at the GC Labor Day Sale and I haven't played anything else since. Works even better with headphones than the small 8" speaker......I do have a VampPro and I love it. But the G-DEC is just sooooo much fun to play. Members AtomHeartMother
Yeah, if you're going to use it exclusively with headphones, get one of those digital modeling preamps. If you don't plan on using headphones often, get the Microcube. Everyone should have one.
Members headless
I've owned the Pandora PX4. I've owned the Zoom PFX-9003. Maybe it's just my middle aged eyes, but I find them so small that they are a bit of a pain to use. I currently have a Zoom G2, which is a floor pedal type amp modeler/digital multiFX device, which has a headphone/out to power amp/out to mixer out, jack. It is battery or wall-wart powered. I find the programming interface easy to use, and with the new, fast microprocessor I think it's superior to the older Zoom devices. Sound quality is always subjective. I find that factory presets usally sound like a video game soundtrack. You really have to tweak these devices to get decent sound out of them
