Help! Pickups stuck together in parts bin

No, due to the electromagnetic force, magnets which are attracted to one another- negative to positive, as it were, dissipate their charge when they come in contact. Therefore, the pickups are completely ruined.

It's the same thing as when you stick a magnet on a metal pole (Ruins the pole) or stick your tongue on a frozen pole (ruins your tongue). Simple physics.

Physics schmisics - I ain't buying it! Plug the damn things in and rock on! Either this is a gag or a lack of research into the truth. I put a magnet on a pole outside the house this morning and the pole DID NOT fall down!:freak:

your pickups are OK. They will sound different than they did before they got stuck together.
but they will work just fine.

If your really worried . you can take the magnets out and have them regaussed.
problem with that is.. you don't know what the gauss reading was BEFORE they got stuck together.

Go over to the Pickup makers forum and read up on magnetizing pickups.
You'll find tons of useful info there.
