Members Ryan F
If i were to put a humbucker in my standard strat, which is SSS config, is there any wiring besides soldering pickup leads to the switch that needs to be done? If so, could you lead me to any decent diagrams for this type of setup?
Members DVaz
Are you OK with the fitting? You may need to route is all. If not, no theres nothing really dfiferent: if you want to wire in an HB then you treat the live and ground of the two coils in series as the same as an SC. Keep the other two wires out of the way. Members Ryan F
A humbucker will fit in the pickguard if i carefully cut it out, it measures out on top just perfect. I've heard that the volume knobs wont work as good with a humbucker compared to the SC's due to a different value. And what about the tone cap? I'll be using the humbucker 90% of the time if that makes a difference.
Members Brian May
Get a SD JB or Custom!!!!! And if you keep the same pickguard with a bigger route for the bucker...you will have 1 screw hole in the wrong place.
