Bon Scott - lead vocals

Joe Strummer - guitar/garbled vocals

Mick Ronson- lead guitar

John Entwistle - bass guitar

Buddy Rich - drums

That ought to be fun.

To sort things out for mekke, John Entwistle played bass for The Who. And how!

I think I would go for Lenny Kravitz on vocals, along with "rythym" guitar duties. I think his skillset lends itself quite well to a band situation, rather than his "frontman-with-nameless-band" he's got going now. Whether or not his ego would allow him to relegate himself to that role is, of course, debatable.

For a second guitarist, how about Brad Whitford? I know he's known as Aerosmith's rythym guy, but he's a really solid player and, by all acounts, a mellow guy (important in a band, methinks). He would be a tasteful "lead" guy, I think.

Neil Peart on drums. I like his flow a lot. He's almost invisible in Rush, which can be a good or bad thing, but I think he would fit in well. A solid rythym section is HUGELY underrated in a band, which brings me to...

The only bass guys I know anything about are Flea and Duff McKagan, and while both are, of course, good, I feel unqualified to reccomend a bassist. I will say that this band would need a BASSIST, not just a guy who plays bass!

There you have it!

I like this one. Yeah, Brad Whitford can really tear it up!! Although not everyone knows it, he plays about 40 percent of the leads/solos with Aerosmith.

Think of the catalog of songs they could play from.

Add a second guitarist perhaps Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton (if he'd be willing to switch back to marshalls and sg, les pauls, and es335 at least part of the time), Brad Whitford (great at both lead and rhythm playing, or Malcolm Young (as long as he'd agree to take a few solos every so often). :thu:

It eludes there to a previous occasion that RW did a CA gig...where it says some RW fans disagreed....read 81% of polled fans. Gilmour was right to dump the git.

Interesting line-up.

However, I don't think there was anything mellow about John Lennon's rhythm guitar playing. In his heyday, he could fair hammer it out!

You were supposed to use real people in your band, not cartoon characters ;).
