I guessed that they bought it and discontinued those guitars (Thug, Choirboy, Impala, etc) I remember the brand being tied into Samson at that point and available at other dealers besides sam ash now all the Brownsville stuff seems to be SX/Chinese made and those were Korean Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Produced at the same factory that made: Aria, Greco, Burny, Westbury, Vantage, Westone..... Bought it on e-bay. All it needed was a nut & knobs. I'm pretty convinced it's old MIJ parts assembled in Korea,tho. Ash body,stamped saddles & a great neck,fat & round with a pretty flat radius!
