Members paul44
Well there are a couple on ebay now,not 54's but might give you a rough idea. http://cgi.ebay.com/Gibson-ES-125-1951-w-CBC-Nice_W0QQitemZ150060539281QQihZ005QQcategoryZ38085QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item150060539281 http://cgi.ebay.com/1958-GIBSIN-ES-125-TD_W0QQitemZ140053928398QQihZ004QQcategoryZ38085QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item140053928398

Gotta feel it, ya know?
Members mrbrown49
I am the same way. I have seen a few friends get burned on ebay, so I steer clear. Did they mention an asking price?

Did they mention an asking price? yeah 1500 CDN...I was simply wondering if it was one of those closet miracles where the buyer has no idea what they have on their hands and just sells it to sell it... Unfortunately I can't spend that much...student and all
Members mrbrown49
I would try talking them down a bit if it is worn like you say. Be very critical of it in their presence, bring every flaw you see to their attention and then suggest a lower price. The might go for it!
Members Prages
$1500 Canadian sounds about right for that actually. I had a buddy that sold one from around that time period (which is pretty hard to confirm a definite year because they didn't have serial numbers IIRC) in really good shape and he got about $1000 US for it. They apparently made a {censored} load of them. I played it once for about 15 minutes and remember it sounding really good, but playing like crap. Members OrvilleGibson
Leave it to the collectors, especially if you don't know the market for it.
