Members adambomb
i assure you the clamps are tightened as much as you could ever want. but someone please tell me why i can press on the short, tight length of string behind the lock-nut, and some slack comes through? maybe a half-step or a little less difference. anyone know what could be causing this? Members jacobarber
is there a gouge in the lower or upper part of the locking nut where the string sits? that would definately let some string through if enough force was applied. it happened to mine, but i never used the trem so no slippage for me
Members adambomb
no, it doesn't, i've tried two different lock nuts, it seems to do the same thing.. thanx for posting, i appreciate it.
Members Pope on a Rope
Have you tried turning the clamp 90 degrees? Could be the core of the string is sliding through the winding.
Members _pete_
Is there something in the threads preventing the screw from being fully tightened? Stripped threads maybe? Take the locking pad off and run the screw all the way in. The head of the screw should bottom out on the nut itself.
