Members _pete_
It is a shame that Brad has to live in Joe Perry's shadow. He is one hell of a solid player.

Members DenverDave
Part of Brad's problem is that everyone thinks Joe Perry plays all the leads in Aerosmith - he is the one hamming it up in all of the videos. Brad plays probably 1/3 of the solos (correct??) and does some great rhythm playing.

Members Mac_C
I much prefer Brad's playing to Joe's. They are both great but I dig Brad a lot.

Members myway
Hi, Brad has always been Aerosmiths secret weapon. He is a great technical player, and very creative to boot. I saw it myself way back when. Question: What happens when Joe Perry is too high to play?,,,,Anwer: Brad Whitford rocks the house with some six string boogie that'll kill ya! Not knocking Joe Perry, Joe has a great "swagger" to his guitar work, and has always been one of my favorites. But there has been a time or two where due to some chemical enhancement issues where Joe was not on the ball. Does anybody remember when he hooked up with Derek St. Holmes and did a little project? Members EdMan63
I have always felt that Brad was very underrated. I name him all the time. He definitely has been Joe's backbone and many people have felt he was better than Joe all along.
