Members flemtone
How many sub-woofers would it take to recreate that sound? I originally set my sights on playing bass the day I was in the press area for the launch of Apollo 14. When the sound hit me in the chest, it almost knocked me over. from that day on... peace,Tim from Jersey (ps - welcome back, Star Voyagers)
Members Deef
You know, I fully support the space program, but I really didn't need a 5 a.m., window-shaking, double-what-the-hell-exploded-boom to toss me out of bed two hours before I needed to be tossed out of bed. I think it's time to build those space elevators . Deef
Members flemtone
I love the Skyhook concept. Heinlein and Niven have talked about them for years. The only drawback is (besides price), if there's a flaw in the structure or damage to a segment, the rest of the line whips down to the surface at orbital speeds. Might create a little scar across the landscape. Definitely NOT the project to award to the Lowest Bidder, eh? peace,Tim from Jersey

Members phaeton
I Just Heard Discovery's Sonic Boom They didn't hear it in Verona... (j/k) FWIW, my gf's grandparents that have the place on Shady Oak mentioned the possibility of buying the house next to the one we're looking at, just to escape Madison.... It's that close, FYI..... Looks like you moved to LA just in time You know, I fully support the space program, but I really didn't need a 5 a.m., window-shaking, double-what-the-hell-exploded-boom to toss me out of bed two hours before I needed to be tossed out of bed.
