Members Prog
I saw this question on another forum. If they are mixed with speakers, why does the mix sound good in headphones? The example of Dark Side of the Moon was a good one. I remember this was the best headphone album at the time. Well, if it was good in the phones, why did it also sound good on speakers? With headphones you are always sitting in the perfect listening position; Exactly in between the speakers, thus you get a true and accurate stereo experience

Members Prog
Has there ever been a mix that sounded good on speakers that didn't work in the headphones? (I mean a more modern mix. Not the older ones that had everything panned hard left or right).
Members KB Gunn
While we are on the topic of headphones, has anyone tried those Ultrasome (sp?) cans? They are supposed to have the speakers mounted forward and angled back. Do they make the sound stage in front of you instead of being in the middle of your head? I'd like to know if anyone is impressed by them or not.
