Members jnorman
we need to make some 30 sec mp3 clips that can be played from our website. what software can make 30 sec clips for this purpose? or, is there a command line i can put in the source code that limits the length of a mp3 file when they try to play it? or is there a way we can let them play the entire mp3 song file, but not be able to download and save it to their HDD? thanks. Members Rudolf von Hagenwil
1) what software can make 30 sec clips for this purpose? I use WaveLab. 2) or, is there a command line i can put in the source code that limits the length of a mp3 file when they try to play it? You can make a "Limit Download Script" in the server software. 3) or is there a way we can let them play the entire mp3 song file, but not be able to download and save it to their HDD? thanks. This is called "streaming". .
Members where02190
Itunes is free, works on both mac and windows. Just import as mp3, then post on your website server.
Members blue2blue
Of course, anything that streams can be diverted. Usually quite easily. And, of course, it can always be recorded (often legally) via analog connection...
