Members luke978
HNGD! Ok, so since you posted pics I have a quesstion. What's up with that LTD ED ticker on the back. I saw one of those at GC and it was clearly better than the other EPi SGs. No mention of what it means anywhere. I already looked. According to Everything SG, an SG Cult site: My guitar is not a regular G400 its a "1966 Epiphone SG S.O.R."(Standard Original Reissue). Its a less common version of the G400. The difference is its the only set neck Epi SG that has the large pickguard and chrome hardware, from the factory. I emailed Epiphone. Here's their reply: "The serial number rolled in our data base as a 1966 G-400 Standard SOR, cherry finish with chrome hardware. This is a Guitar Center exclusive model not available at other retailers." This is what I got from all the digging: Guitar Center ordered a limited run of set neck G400's, had the factory install large pickguards, and chrome PUP covers, and renamed them S.O.R.'s. hence the "Limited Edition Custom Shop" label.
