Members pfiddlepat
I know it's not a guitar, but I don't know where else to post this...http://audio.isg.si/audiox/?q=node/9907 It is a traditional fiddle tune played on my electric mando, with backup guitar... I don't know if you guys appreciate this kind of music... you might just tell me to STFU, but here it is anyway... Patrick.
Members peavey_impact
I'd love to listen to it, but I can't. I click the link and it shows up as an unknown file type of 12 MB size
Members pfiddlepat
If you click on "download audio" instead of "play", it shows up as a wav file. Still 12 MB, but if that is a problem I can maybe upload another smaller file. Good to hear you are interested though...
Members DenverDave
What brand is your electric Mando??? I just bought an Eastwood 8 string electric 'Mandocaster' two weeks ago. Fun little instrument....
Members FenderPusher
Very nice playing, reminds me a little of Jazz Mandolin Project. Not the style of music, just the tone, Jamie Masefield busts out the electric mando a lot and jams!
Members pfiddlepat
Thanks! It is a made by a little company (just one guy actually) in australia called Jupiter Creek Music. 4 string, shaped like a little tele... It is my main instrument in our band, but I occasionally play out the banjo, or rhythm guitar with them too... Patrick
Members 's mel gibson
I saw an Epiphone Flying V Mandolin at Long & McQuade a while back. No gas attack.

Members jrkirkish
You get a really nice sound out of that being a 4-string. Not real mandolinny, though, but good.
Members pfiddlepat
Thanks! Yes, it does sound more like an electric guitar than an acoustic mandolin, but then again, that is kind of the point... If I want that sound, I'll play my acoustic... just like with guitars! You can acheve a fairly acoustic sound out of it played clean with a little chorus if you want. Patrick.
