Problems with Sony on MACs too.

I knew that Sony had done some dirty deeds with installing rootkits (Trojan horses) on PCs but it looks like they are writing to the kernal on a MAC too.

Now, let's think about something if you're an Indy Artist selling CDs. Get the word out that your CDs do not have that kind of crap installed on them to compromise someone's computer. Gain more sales while cutting into the big guy's market share.

I think it would be great if this crap sinks those ass hats.

There's an easy way around this Sony trojan horse software. Don't buy any Sony CDs and just download an mp3 of the album from a pier-pier network, that way you don't load the CD on your system. This new copy-protection scheme is another instance of record companies penalizing paying cutomers for buying their products. The result is that they're actually encouraging people to download music instead of buying it.
