A very articulate player in a progressive band everyone should listen to.

 

Steve, who plays a Squire Strat with EMG pups and Kahler tremelo, was asked why a Squire:

He stated at the end of the day, a guitar is just a piece of wood. You are either going to get a good wood or bad wood (no pun intended). What you have on the headstock makes no difference since you're going to change the pups and electronics anyway (good point).

You know I saw that and was going to post it the next time somebody bumped the Squier Army thread.

 

Those guys blew me away back in the day...holds up pretty damn well too. :)

Steve Rothery is mostly playing Blade Stratocasters and a Blade telecaster, and has put Lindy Fralin pickups in almost all his guitars. There is an interview at musicplayers.com that goes over a lot of his gear.
