i love the finish!! kinda looks like a black korina...?

Normal swamp ash, just burned with a heat gun or blow torch. (NOTE: I cannot be held responsible for anyone who "Hendrixes" their guitar while trying to duplicate this finish! )They don't use a filler, just a thin coat of finish, so the finish dips into the grain. They did it special for these G-VTs, which were a limited run for Frankfurt two years ago, but now also do it on the Hiram Bullock signature guitar.

Another interesting ash finish they do is the open pore black like on this G-260.

BTW, what model is that and where did you get it? Curbow have the US made models, which are quite, but don't list the Cort version.

It's just called a "Curbow" I guess, and apparently it's not listed on their web site as of yet. I heard they released something like 65 of these to test the market. My dealer (Fat Cat Guitars) had two, and he sold both in the first week.

I'm a big fan of Cort. They do some great stuff - especially for the relatively low amount of money.

My main "Strat" is a Cort G-VT:

I like the OP's guitar too, but this one really looks sweet to me.

To the OP, Very nice score bro.

Happy NGD :thu:
