Members DonK
They've been around for quite awhile, though the company has changed hands a few times and supposedly has improved its act. The earliest ones were pure junk - cheaply made and unreliable. A friend bought one back in the late 90's and when he tried to return it, couldn't get them to respond to phone or e-mail (I think they may have gone into bankruptcy). The more recent ones have a reputation for being decent instruments, though some buyers continue to report problems with the lighting system. Unlike the originals, the new ones need to be connected to a computer to get the fretboard to light. It can be a useful learning too since it you can visually see all of the notes related to a given key, scale, mode, etc. Whether it's worth it depends...for someone who's really struggling with learning the fretboard, I can how it could help.
