Members mc5nrg
Do you have a bolt-on neck guitar? Ever take the neck off? Sometimes, especially on certain less expensive imports the neck screws actually screw into the body as well as the neck. This is a design and build error as the screws should just pass through/slide through the body rather than cutting into the body wood. You can easily rectify this by drilling out the screw holes slightly larger than the neck screws so that the screws just pass through the body before screwing into the neck. The result will be a better neck body connection with better tone, sustain and tuning stability. Why do I mention this? I just fixed up a Cort CL200 I got for small money. In the process of intonating etc. and polishing the frets, I took the neck off and realized the neck screws were screwing thru the body wood also. Managed to drill out the holes so things are done right and along with some other adjustments the tuning problems are gone.
