Members Ponec Posted December 28, 2007 Members Share Posted December 28, 2007 How do the two compare?The '67 has a thinner neck profile, alnico 2 magnets in the pickups (Classic has "5"s), and the pickups are spaced further apart. I'm sure that there are some slight differences in tone but I can't really tell through my setups (or maybe it is my "aging" ears ).They are both fantastic guitars, easily my two favorites though the thinner neck on the '67 can cause a little extra fatigue in my fretting hand (long, thin fingers - double jointed, etc. your mileage will vary). Looks-wise it's the '67. Tone-wise, they are both monsters and you can't go wrong with either one.-Ron Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
